Comic Book Activities for the Classroom and Library
An Evening for Educators
Sabrina O'Donnell and Daniel Schneider are instructors for Happy Harbor's Drawn to Write youth camps for comic creators and they want to share their most successful teachable moments! Learn how to get a great comic jam going, get ideas for fun activities for character and story creation and development, and find out more about specific methods of teaching visual literacy!
Schedule of Events
We encourage guests to invite any co-workers they think will be interested. Everyone who attends will enjoy a complimentary sampling of different wines and cheeses. As well, in addition to your regular professional discount (30%-40% off for your school/library, invoicing available), you will receive 15% off your personal purchases!
As the role of comic books and graphic novels in the classroom and beyond continues to gain the support of educators around the world, the space reserved for them in libraries and schools grows; but no two educational environments are alike, and it can be difficult to assess which materials will best fill those spaces. Happy Harbor can help navigate the world of sequential storytelling. We know you want comics in your classrooms and libraries. We also know there’s a lot of comics out there and finding the right books can be very intimidating. To help combat these issues, Happy Harbor wants to give you the opportunity to learn more, be entertained, and even get some personalized shopping done.
Between Language Arts and Visual Arts, there are the Sequential Arts.
Happy Harbor encourages you to please drink responsibly.
