It's time again for our grand annual fundraiser in support of LITERACY ALBERTA
and Boys & Girls Club/Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton!

OCTOBER 11, 2014 - 10AM

What is 24 Hr Comics Day? Well, an in-depth explanation is here and on the official 24HourComics.com website, but the short version is to make a 24 page comic
(written, pencilled and inked!) in just 24 hours!

As we have for the past 10 years, to participate in our event, you need to collect monies for Literacy Alberta & BGCBigs! We ask that each person try to collect a minimum of $100 towards our goal of matching last year's total!

Fundraising is easy! Just tell your family, friends and co-workers what you are doing and they will happily give $5 or $10 for your efforts. But you can also create incentives like putting donors into your comic, offering custom art, drawing lessons, and many have even made cookies and other snacks "for sale"!
Be creative and draw attention to your fundraising efforts!

The top fundraiser this year will get a $250 gift certificate for Happy Harbor as a reward for their hard work! 2nd place will get $150 Gift Certificate and the next 3 top fundraisers will get $50 each!

You can donate to any individual or donate directly to the cause! Either way we'll make sure to give you a shout out for your contributions. All donations over $20.00 will receive a tax receipt from Literacy Alberta or from BGCBigs. You can specify which organization you would like your donation to go to, if you wish. Happy Harbor will divide all of it's donations equally between both organizations. A Word Doc donation form can be downloaded HERE!

Happy Harbor owner Jay Bardyla will be putting his money where his mouth is and participating in his first-ever 24 Hr event! He will also be personally donating $50 for every person that joins us at Happy Harbor for the event. And just so you know, Jay is a writer with nearly almost no art skills. So consider the challenge thrown!

When all the donations are collected, Happy Harbor Comics match $0.10 for every dollar collected, so the more raised, the more our charities will benefit!
